A month of fundraising for Independent Age

We’re delighted to announce that at Prestige Nursing + Care we are holding a month of fundraising events in aid of Independent Age, where we hope to raise £20,000.

Throughout September, in the lead up to Older People’s Day, our staff at branches throughout the country will be taking part in events from sponsored walks and car boot sales to cake sales and open days. Over the week of 9th-15th June Prestige Nursing + Care celebrated Carers Week by recognising the great contribution of informal carers to our local community. We treated a number of clients, and their informal carers, to two hours of free respite services. One in eight adults in the UK are carers and Carers Week (9th -15th June) celebrated the contribution of the UK’s 6.5 million unpaid carers who, through providing unpaid care, save the Government £119 billion a year.
